Homemade chimichurri sauce meets a grilled steak recipe is a match made in heaven, arguably one of the best meals for babies!
We love chimichurri sauce and always have it handy most of the time so when it comes to baby, I’m not hesitant to give him a try.
What is chimichurri sauce?
Originally from Argentina, this sauce has a combination of parsley, oregano, garlic, red wine vinegar and olive oil. Super easy to make and will level up your grilled steak. However, I made a little tweak to this chimichurri sauce for babies.
The ingredients for chimichurri sauce
- Herbs. I use a combination of parsley, cilantro, and garlic. Be sure to use fresh herb when making sauces
- Condiments. I use olive oil, lemon juice, and a splash of red wine vinegar
Grilled steak for babies
Our baby was 8 months when I first introduced him to steak and he just could not stop sucking on it. Steak actually makes great first food for babies because it offers a great amount of nutrition; however, you need to prepare it in an age-appropriate way since steak is one of the more common causes of choking.
6-8 months baby: cut the steak about the size and length of two adult fingers together and cook it well-done.
